Star Citizen Fleet Week In response to a request by RSI and CIG to create fleet media the Ruin organization mustered a portion of our capital fleet designed to showcase the ability for large numbers of capital class ships to field in the live Star Citizen universe. Despite some minor FPS problems, the event was technically stable. We encourage those who attended the event to post their best images in response to this X post. Today, the RUIN Star Citizen organization successfully executed a fleet muster, bringing together an impressive array of 15 Idris and 15 Polaris capital ships, accompanied by a robust contingent of support ships and escorts. This event was organized in response to a request from Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) and Roberts Space Industries (RSI) to showcase these newly introduced ships through striking fleet pictures. The muster was carefully planned, with RUIN setting a cap at 30 capital ships to avoid server instability, a persistent concern in Star Citizen’s massive multiplayer environment. Despite some expected frame rate issues, the server remained stable throughout the event, a surprising and encouraging outcome that exceeded expectations and highlighted significant progress in the game’s server performance. The successful muster not only demonstrated RUIN’s organizational prowess but also underscored the growing potential for the large-scale, spectacular space battles that are a core draw for its member base. The significant turnout reflected the community’s enthusiasm and commitment, with the event serving as a testament to the increasing reliability of Star Citizen’s infrastructure. Looking ahead, RUIN plans to host similar fleet musters for future major capital ship launches, particularly for the anticipated Ironclad and Javelin destroyer. This event marks a promising step toward realizing the game’s vision of massive multiplayer engagements, fueling excitement for what lies ahead in Star Citizen’s evolving universe. |
