Star Citizen Destination 1.0

CitizenCon 2954: The Stars My Destination: Star Citizen 1.0

PvP, PvE, non-combat… what type of game is Star Citizen? If you want answers, join us as we outline a high-level overview of Star Citizen 1.0, and what our intentions are for our epic shared universe.

What is Star Citizen?

In Star Citizen, you can be whoever you want and explore the stars on your own terms. You can mine ore, haul cargo, salvage space wrecks, hunt bounties, become a mercenary, or even take up a life of crime. Fly and drive a vast variety of vehicles and play how you want to play – the possibilities are endless.

Star Citizen has become RUIN’ primary science fiction MMORPG focus.

RUIN is currently defining our Star Citizen campaign goals and objectives based upon content and ship releases.  Having conducted a census of over 13,000 players. The community’s primary interest lies in large-scale fleet battles and a robust player-versus-player (PvP) campaign, emphasizing dynamic, competitive gameplay. To support these engagements, RUIN is actively testing a comprehensive logistical framework to ensure sustained operations, enabling prolonged and effective participation in the game’s persistent universe.

This focus on large-scale PvP reflects the community’s desire to dominate in fleet-based combat and establish a formidable presence in Star Citizen’s competitive landscape.

Beyond combat, Ruin prioritizes StarBase construction as a key objective, responding to the community’s enthusiasm for creating and managing strategic hubs within the game. This involves not only building physical infrastructure but also fostering an extensive coalition and social network to crew fleets and ground forces effectively. By cultivating a strong sense of camaraderie and collaboration, Ruin seeks to unite players under a shared vision, ensuring that fleets and armies are adequately staffed and coordinated. This social infrastructure will be critical for maintaining operational efficiency and achieving long-term success in Star Citizen’s complex, player-driven universe.

To support these goals, RUIN is committed to establishing robust training and academic resources to develop competent and effective leadership within the community. These resources will equip players with the skills needed to lead fleets, manage starbases, and execute large-scale strategies. Additionally, Ruin aims to invest in modern technical infrastructure to support the organization’s operations and host Destination Gaming events, such as CitizenCon and Bar Citizen, to strengthen community engagement and visibility. By combining strategic PvP campaigns, logistical excellence, leadership development, and event hosting, Ruin seeks to position itself as a leading force in Star Citizen’s 1.0 launch and beyond.
