What is Conan Exiles?

You start with nothing but your bare hands in the Exiled Lands. From there you hunt and gather, build anything from a hut to a fortified city, take thralls, and wage war with swords, bows, siege weapons and, at the top end, avatars of the gods. The world runs from scorching desert through humid swamp to the frozen north. The Isle of Siptah offers a second map.

For a PvP organization, the appeal is persistent territory: what your clan builds can be raided, and what you raid can be taken.

Conan Exiles Enhanced: the free Unreal Engine 5 upgrade

On May 5, 2026, Funcom released Conan Exiles Enhanced, moving the game from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. The upgrade is free on Steam for existing and future owners.

• Visual upgrades including Lumen global illumination, Nanite geometry and virtual shadow maps, plus performance improvements
• Direct travel between the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah on the same server, with the same character, building on both maps
